About Lighthouse Worship Center
A Bible-centered church family in Alexandria, Virginia — standing on the truth of the Gospel and welcoming people from every walk of life.
The Whole Bible, Rightly Divided
From the beginnings, the Church of God of Prophecy has based its beliefs on "the Whole Bible rightly divided." We accept the Bible as God's holy word, inspired, inerrant, and infallible.
We believe the Bible to be God's written revelation of Himself to mankind and our guide in all matters of faith; therefore, we look to the Bible as our highest authority for doctrine, practice, organization, and discipline.
Our Mission & Values
Reaching People for Jesus Christ
As followers of Jesus, we seek to live out Great Commandment love empowering our Great Commission living — to love others as we are being loved by Him, and to see others come to believe and follow Him as His disciples (Matthew 22:37-40, 28:19-20).
Committed to the Whole Bible,
Rightly Divided
The Church of God of Prophecy is firm in its commitment to the Whole Bible, Rightly Divided. We affirm that there is one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, the physical miracles He performed, His atoning death upon the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory at His second coming.
Rooted in God's Word
The Bible
We accept the Bible as God's holy word — inspired, inerrant, and infallible. It is our highest authority for doctrine, practice, organization, and discipline.
Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His atoning death upon the cross, His bodily resurrection, and His personal return in power and glory.
The Holy Spirit
We profess that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for the salvation of sinful mankind. The Spirit convicts, regenerates, indwells, and empowers believers.
The Trinity
We affirm that there is one God eternally existing in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — and we are firm in our commitment to this orthodox Christian belief.
A Diverse Family, United in Christ
We serve the diverse community of Alexandria, Virginia, and the surrounding areas. Our neighbors come from many different nationalities, cultures, backgrounds, and religious traditions. While we come from different experiences, we are united by our faith in Jesus Christ and our commitment to His Word. We want to be more than a place people attend — we want to be a spiritual family where people belong, grow, serve, and encounter God in a life-changing way.
